Vehicle register based on blockchain
carTRUST is a platform that brings all participants together. The use of blockchain technology makes it possible for the ownership of a vehicle to be digitally confirmed and transferred for the very first time. Paper-based documents, forms and tedious processes are no longer required.

Manufacturers
Manufacturers create the digital fingerprint for new vehicles and, in return, are the first owners of the vehicle.
Citizens
Any citizen can register for the system and simply register, change ownership or licence their vehicles using an app. The transfer of ownership when selling a vehicle on the used-car market also takes place on the app.
Insurers
Service providers can connect via interfaces and also carry out bulk integrations. There is no need to completely replace the software that is currently in use.
Registration office
Registration offices connect to the carTRUST platform via an interface. The platform confirms the ownership of the vehicle and provides additional information required for registration.
Dealers
Dealers receive ownership of the vehicle from the seller when making a purchase and transfer this to their customers after making a sale.
Banks
Banks receive ownership of the vehicle when providing financing and grant their customers a right of possession and use. This allows the customer to use the vehicle as per usual, but they cannot sell or refinance it.
Insurers
Insurers supply information on whether a vehicle is insured or not to the carTRUST platform.
APOS - Automotive Process Operation System
Vehicle data is created upon initial registration, i.e. upon the birth of a vehicle. During its lifetime, new data and information is constantly added, such as a change of owner, change of insurance cover, passing/failing a technical inspection or status information, such as theft, etc. This information needs to be bundled and made available to various stakeholders. That is precisely our aim with the introduction of a central vehicle database/folder!
The APOS approach consists of merging existing and individual processes and integrating stakeholders, such as ministries, banks, insurers or inspection organisations, via interfaces/connections. This will allow duplications of vehicle data to be prevented and process steps, such as reading out an electronic label, can be completely automated. Adjustments within the process are also possible without any issues, as individual modules can be replaced at any time during the process.

Secure registration process
Our extensive experience in the vehicle registration sector enables us to provide advice and design and implement the optimal registration process. The specific local circumstances, legislation and structural conditions always play a role:
- modern
- modular
- secure
Example: Part of a vehicle registration process
Owner Registration licence plate
Proof of documents
Register main owner data
Insurance valid?
PTI documentation
Registration card if all ok
Licence plate and emission label (RFID)
Licence plate number
Licence plate currently pre-embossed
Windshield tag for emission
Marriage car and owner
Data linked with RFID label
Label is linked with owner/car
Label fixed at car if all ok
Licence plate and label = security
Vehicle fully registered
Database security
The protection of vehicle data is naturally also an important issue for us within the vehicle registration process and during the subsequent use of the data. Database security is therefore not just limited to security checks and the storage of data but, in particular, also to risk management in the form of authorisations, integrity and availability.
