Common paths: Uzbekistan relies on German transport technology.

The Uzbek landlocked country in Central Asia with a total road network of about 86,500 km in total length wants to significantly improve the road safety of its country in the future and relies on the experience and technology of DKT Deutsche Kennzeichen Technik GmbH and the German market leader Bremicker Verkehrstechnik from Weilheim. Representatives of the state company Uzavtoyol and members of a Committee for Road Safety of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan informed themselves during a delegation trip – about the effective and efficient production of road signs of all kinds. At the Bremicker company, the most modern sign system in Europe was able to convince. The signing of a corresponding memorandum of understanding between DKT and Uzavtoyol for future cooperation provided the official framework for the meeting.

A local production facility is to be created as a joint venture in which traffic signs for the Central Asian state will be produced in the future. But also future-oriented technologies such as “Variable Message Signs” are to be delivered, assembled and individualized for the country. Local resources for the entire supply chain are also considered. The partners agree: long-term cooperation also means joint market development and investments in modern manufacturing technologies. Decisive for DKT Deutsche Kennzeichen Technik and Bremicker Verkehrstechnik as partners is the high technological competence, as well as the many years of experience and the cooperation strategy for the development of the market. Every year, about 30,000 traffic signs and about 10,000 square meters of film for large signs are to be produced, mainly with digital printing. The know-how of the German market leader is intended to ensure greater efficiency and thus less material loss, but above all more standardization. Not only in Uzbekistan, but also in neighboring countries such as Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan or Kazakhstan, “road safety” and smart technologies are gaining in importance with increasing traffic volumes. This makes it all the more important to have a local presence, short delivery routes and local sourcing supported by the many years of experience of the German partners.
